Barry Kern, President of Kern Studios, and member of the New Orleans Kern family famous for their Carnival float-making business in New Orleans. Barry became fluent in Spanish and absorbed the culture while working in his family's studios in Valencia, Spain. He has produced entertainment elements for theme parks around the world, Disney, and Universal Studios. His company continues to redefine the themed entertainment environments in Las Vegas and Atlantic City for international customers like MGM Mirage properties, Harrah's Casino and Harley-Davidson Café. |

Romualdo Gonzalez, Sr., Esq., a prominent New Orleans attorney and Hispanic community activist, "Romi" as he is known also founded the first local Latin Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Heritage Foundation and the original Carnaval Latino, which played to many growing audiences between 1989 and 1995. |

Ernesto Schweikert, III, also a founding member of the original Carnaval Latino and owner of the premier and oldest radio station (KGLA 1540 AM)serving the Latino-New Orleans community for over 38 years and the only local station receiving 2 national awards, "Best Broadcaster of the Year" by the NAHJ, (National Association of Hispanic Journalists) and the "Capital Award" for Best Public Service by the NCLR (National Council de La Raza) for broadcasting and serving the Hispanic community during the disastrous times before and after Hurricane Katrina. In May 2007, Ernesto will debut a new "full power" Hispanic television station, an affiliate of TELEMUNDO, serving the metropolitan area of New Orleans. Carnaval Latino will provide a platform for the launch of this new endeavor. |
