In this post Katrina world we need to show the world that the city once renowned as the "Gateway to the Americas" is "now open". Our beloved city also wants to reach out to the large influx of Hispanic workers who have rushed to the Gulf state to help rebuild this area. Through Carnaval Latino the Hispanic community offers its best to its neighbors and friends. A portion of the proceeds will flow to the Hispanic Artist & Musicians Cultural Association ("HAMACA") an entity dedicated to fostering the arts and those who give it life.
