A little about the Festivities
A celebration of extraordinary Latin music and the Hispanic heritage and culture. This event is a 3-day festival that will feature headline entertainment held in Downtown New Orleans August 24th, 25th and 26th, 2007 and will be the entertainment certerpiece to the State of Louisiana's "World Cultural Economic Forum", CX-1. The Energy of Carnaval LatinoIn this post Katrina world we need to show the world that the city once renowned as the "Gateway to the Americas" is "now open". Our beloved city also wants to reach out to the large influx of Hispanic workers who have rushed to the Gulf state to help rebuild this area. Through Carnaval Latino the Hispanic community offers its best to its neighbors and friends. A portion of the proceeds will flow to the Hispanic Artist & Musicians Cultural Association ("HAMACA") an entity dedicated to fostering the arts and those who give it life.
